Position :-- Head - Channel Strategy & Development
Experience :-- 14- 17 yrs
Education: - BE (Electronics/Telecom/Computer) & MBA
I) Position Summary
· Develop and implement strategies for the Channel Business to accelerate market share;
· Achieve sales objectives through Channel partners to increase the sales & meet revenue targets;
· Identify and enroll new partners, while performance managing existing partners;
· Identify improvement areas in channel management and work towards bettering them;
· Build partner capability to sell the complete portfolio of services.
Major Activities (Responsibilities)
· Study the market and work out long term strategies for effective market addressal through the right set of channel partners ;
· Ensure continuous improvement of internal policies and processes by identifying and driving new initiatives to improve channel comfort with our client (interdepartmental);
· Expand market coverage through evaluation and addition of channel partners in relevant verticals and geographies;
· Partner performance management, launch relevant partner promotions & incentive programs;
· Design and run training and certification programs to improve partner ability to sell complete portfolio of our client.
· Identify and plan demand-generating activities;
· Manage and motivate the team.
3) Requisite Skills:
· Technical : Telecom Exposure (Preferable)
· Functional
· Proven sales experience;
· Should have knowledge about formulating Channel policies & incentive programs;
· Knowledge about IT & Telecom products and services;
· Must have worked at a National level reputed IT/Telecom service organization;
· Must have significant marketing exposure;
· Ability to strategize & be highly result oriented;
· Should have channel development experience in IT / telecom industry
