Responsibilities
• Design high speed test/characterization boards for validating test-chips with Rambus IP on it.
• Design customer demo/system boards for showing Rambus IP in action.
• Review board layouts created by outside PCB vendors for quality and other high speed signaling criteria.
• Bring-up assembled boards and test-chips to start characterization process.
Required Skills
Must have minimum Bachelors degree in EE from a reputed institute.
Must have at-least 5 years of work experience, of which 3 years should be related to test board/system design.
Must have experience taking a board/system design from concept all the way to production
Must be able to write board layout guidelines and supervise layout work
Must have strong background in memory system design and architecture
Must understand aspects of high speed board design including signal integrity theory and applications, termination strategies, power delivery system
Must have excellent, hands-on lab bring-up experience
Knowledge of system analysis is a plus.
Knowledge of Verilog RTL and FPGA’s will be an added advantage
Must be proficient with high speed scopes, logic analyzers, processor JTAG debuggers and other lab equipments
Must have detailed working knowledge of high speed differential interfaces such as LVDS, LVPECL, CML, SSTL
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Self-motivation, teamwork and communications skills are essential
