Responsibilities
• Program Execution: Drive cross-functional execution of the program from requirements to delivery and ensure that a program delivers in accordance with established technical and business objectives.
• Customer Management: Assist in preparation of quotations and contracts including sizing of engineering effort required and delivery schedules. Assist in engineering level re-negotiation of deliverables as necessary to accommodate product definition. Communicate program status to the customer and track the timely closure of action items. Monitor and organize deliveries and technical exchanges between customer and Rambus engineering. Arrange and facilitate regular interaction with customer teams, including management reviews. Look for opportunities to facilitate closing follow-on business. Act as a customer advocate inside Rambus.
• Planning and Tracking: Drive cross functional teams to create a structured project plan. Integrate cross-functional project plans into a single optimized schedule and plan for the program. Identify critical paths and risk elements at the program level. Track program issues and effectively negotiate decisions and trade-offs. Guide issues to resolution within internal and external groups.
• Risk Management and Problem Solving: Anticipate, identify, document and monitor program risks. Collaborate with engineering managers to manage risk elements, and develop appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
• Prioritization: Balance process compliance and achievement of business objectives to make the right strategic trade-off for the program.
• Communication and Coordination: Document and communicate status, issues and risks in a timely manner to stake holders and senior management. Make presentations and escalate critical issues to executive management when necessary.
• Program Life Cycle: Champion the program life cycle and ensure successful objectives of all phases of PLC are achieved.
• Contract Management: Drive contractual obligations as defined in customer contracts. Provide program management support in creating statement of work using defined processes. Track delivery schedules and report achievement of contract defined milestones to the finance team.
• Internal Business Processes: Champion process re-engineering initiatives to improve the operational effectiveness of engineering processes.
• PMO Team Leader: Provide coaching and guidance to local project managers. Coordinate and champion PMO activities locally at Rambus’ India Design Center.
Requirements
o Must have 3+ yrs of experience related to VLSI engineering
o Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
o Must have 5+ yrs of program management experience in semiconductor or a related industry

o Demonstrated ability to drive issues to a fact based and timely closure using technical and analytical skills
o Demonstrated ability to write brief and to the point reports to executive management
o Demonstrated ability to adopt existing processes and information systems used in the organization
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Familiarity with Microsoft Project, WBS and project risk analysis
o Working knowledge of relational database is preferred
o Broad knowledge of ASIC design flow and IP development
Education
BS in Engineering or Computer science is required. Masters Degree in
Engineering or an MBA is desired. PMI or any other Project Management
certification is a plus.
