Designation Database Administrator
Job Description
• Peripheral Software Installation (e.g. Oracle)
• Plan and Create/Clone databases and objects.
• Sound knowledge of Backup / Recovery (Manual as well as using RMAN).
• Install, upgrade and patch oracle server.
• Database movement across different machines.
• Resolve all customer issues related to database.
• Performance Tuning of Databases and applications.
• Recommending hardware configuration for new and existing customers.
• Recommending Database sizing for new user creation depending on volume requirements.
• Implementation knowledge of Data Guard, Real Application Cluster (RAC) etc
Desired Profile
• Good knowledge of Different O.S. Like Unix, Aix, Linux and SUN OS, Sound DBA Knowledge.
• Familiar with terms and terminologies used in respective Domain.
• Should possess analytical skills to analyze various database related issues.
